A Place to Connect. A Place to Belong.
PlayConnect is building a permanent home in the Valley for neurodivergent children, teens, and their families: a place designed for connection, confidence, and community.
Friendship shouldn't be something a child has to figure out alone.
Joining a game. Starting a conversation. Adjusting when plans change. Keeping a friend. For neurodivergent kids and teens, everyday social moments can be complicated, but these skills can be learned.
The latest CDC data identified about 1 in 31 eight-year-olds in participating communities with autism spectrum disorder. Families across the Valley are looking for support that isn't only academic or clinical, but social.
Practice, not lectures.
Our play-based social groups are designed and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and led by trained ABA professionals. Kids don't just hear about social skills. They practice them together.
-
Games become chances to negotiate.
-
Shared activities become chances to communicate.
-
Unexpected changes become chances to practice flexibility.
We fill the space between appointments and classrooms: the lunch table, the playground, the birthday party.
What a home of our own makes possible
-
Social and play spaces for games and group experiences
-
Gaming and technology areas that turn shared interests into friendship
-
Creative and maker spaces for art and building
-
Sensory-supportive spaces to regulate and take a break
-
A teen space that supports growing independence
-
A family space where parents find their own community
More groups. More ages. Times that work for families. Over time, PlayConnect stops being somewhere kids go for a program. It becomes their place.
See what your gift builds
A gift can become a room, a gaming station, a sensory space, adaptive equipment, or a scholarship. Campaign gifts support the facility build-out, equipment and furniture, family spaces, scholarships, and operating reserves for responsible growth.
The building will be measured in square feet. Its impact will be measured in moments: a child who walks into group without holding a parent's hand, a teenager who starts a conversation, and eventually, "These are my friends."
Together, we can build a permanent home for connection, confidence, and community in the Valley.
